SIR JAIN SHWETAMBAR MANDIR (NAULAKHA MANDIR)

The temple made of 85 urn containing peak and style heritage of Jain’s 20th pilgrimage lord Sir Muni Subrat Swami is a famous heritage not only in Rajgir but the whole state. The distance of 2 kms from railway statin and 600 meters from the bus stand located this temple attraction is driven toward tourist of foreign country. This temple is spread over an area of 8700 feet without the use of metal, featuring statue, urn full pavilion peak, red building basement, this temple has been constructed. While urn’s main peak has been built with while marble. In Gunda Mandapa, art built with bricks in the middle of dome marble’s pen is hanging which displays high architectural. Recently a temple has been built under the temple which is the main center of attraction of tourist.

Shri Digambar Jain Mandir

This place has seen the Garbha, Janam, Tap and Gyan Kalyanak’s of Bhagwaan Munisuvratnath. Also this place is where the 1st ‘divyadwani’ of Bhagwaan Mahavir took place. The hills comprise of Vipulachal, Ratnagiri, Udaygiri, Arungiri (Swarnagiri) and Vaibhavgiri hills. There are 10 Jain temples on the hills. Numerous Muni have attained Nirwan here, hence is a Siddha Kshetra. A 12 feet high idol of Munisuvratnath bhagwaan has been installed at Lal Mandir ground under the guidance of ganani pramukh Gyanmati Mataji. Google Map shows the Rajgiriji hills, south of Rajgir town.

Rope way, Rajgir hills

The Rajgir ropeway offers fantastic views of the adjoining Pant Wildlife Sanctuary and the surrounding five hills namely Vipalachal, Vaibhagiri, Songiri and Udaygiri, other than the Ratnagiri hill that it is connected to. The attraction of the Peace Pagoda (a.k.a. Vishwa Shanti Stupa) on the hill top is a major cultural magnet attracting thousands of tourists and pilgrims during peak seasons. The gigantic stupa built in 1969 by the Japanese Buddhist order called Nipponzhan Myohoji serves as an earthly symbol of peace and harmony.

Brahma Kund hot springs is a Hindu pilgrimage site where water from seven different springs

Brahma Kund hot springs in Rajgir is a major tourist attraction due to its religious significance as well as medicinal properties. Flows through the latent channels down the sacred vaibhavgiri hills, It appears in seven different streams just above the foothills in a premise. Also known as Brahma kund or Garam Pani ka Jharna or Garam Kund, Hot water spring is a must visit place in rajgir.
A Pilgrimage for hindu devotees who come here to bathe and get rid of their evils and attainment of moksha after death. Apart from this, it is believed that it has miraculously healing properties for muscular and joint pains.
Brahmkund is basically a square shaped tank with a depth of approximately 4 feet which holds the hot water coming down from the spring. An artificial stair decends to the take where devotees or tourists can take a dip. Despite winter months from October to march, it remains crowded, it’s the best time to visit.

Rajgir Vishwa Shanti Stupa

Vishwa Shanti Stupa is a major tourist attraction at Rajgir. Rajgir is a popular pilgrim destination for Buddhists. Nichidatsu Fujii (1885-1985), a Buddhist monk from Japan and founder of the Nipponzan-Myohoji Buddhist sect. Nichidatsu Fujii set an example for world peace through Peace Pagodas. In series of establishing peace pagodas world over he established one such peace pagoda at Rajgir which is called Vishwa Shanti Stupa.

A pagoda is a type of stupa which provides equality for worship and gathering at one place for common cause. The Nipponzan-Myohoji sect has been successful in spreading the views of Lord Buddha for peace and harmony among people. These stupa or Japanese Pagoda are excellent example of oriental style of architecture. Though all of the pagodas are not built under the guidance of Nichidatsu Fujji, most of them have been built either under his guidance or under his recommendations.
